Anderson - Elizabeth Catherine (McVey) Padgett, 91, Anderson, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 14, 2004 at St. Johns Health System, Anderson, Indiana after an extended illness.
She was born November 12, 1912 in Ingalls, Indiana, was a lifelong resident of this area.
She was a member of Calvary Temple Apostolic Church and the Humane Society of Madison County.
She is survived by her daughter, Frances & husband and her ''Special Son'' Richard Chandler of Anderson; brother, Remaliah McVey of Fortville; several nieces and nephews and her dog, Muffin; special friends, Jerra Gadd and Bill & Marsha Twigg.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ward & Goldie McVey; two brothers, Cleo McVey and William McVey and an adopted grandson, Zachary Chandler.
Services will be Monday, January 19, 2004 at 10:00 AM, at Calvary Temple Apostolic Church, Anderson, with Rev. Terry Bailey and Rev. Tim Bailey officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Anderson.
Visitation will be from 3-7:00 PM on Sunday, January 18, 2004 at South Chapel.
