Herman Mack Ansley, Sr. was born on November 6, 1943 in Buffalo, Texas and passed away on December 10, 2013 in Buffalo. He was 70 years old. Herman was one of four children born to Arnold Daniel & Willie (McKnight) Ansley. He worked for Dow Chemical Company in Freeport, Texas from 1963 to 1971 and then moved back to Buffalo and worked at Champion Home Builders. He did this for twelve years and then became self-employed in the mobile home service, setting up mobile homes and performing maintenance on mobile homes. Herman was a member of the Buffalo Masonic Lodge 554 AF & AM and a member of the Miracle Christian Center in Buffalo. In his spare time, Herman enjoyed woodworking and gardening. He was preceded in death by both of his parents and brother, Arnold Ansley. Surviving relatives include loving wife, Sophia Ansley of Buffalo; sons, Herman Ansley and John Ansley & wife, Cathy, all of Buffalo; daughter, Janet Burns of Kerens; brother, Jerry Ansley of Buffalo; sister, Brenda Henley of Buffalo, nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Herman is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services for Herman Ansley, Sr. will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, December 13, 2013 at the Walters' Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo, Texas. Bro. Lloyd Lane will officiate the service and interment will be in the Buffalo Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2013 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Walters' Buffalo Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons, Kenneth Williams, Willie Burns, Jeff Ansley, Kurt Ansley, J.T. Ansley and Justin Ansley.
