Wilma Pauline Walker, 92, of Keokuk, died at 4:40 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17, 2000, at the Keokuk Nursing Center.

She was born on Dec. 3, 1908, near Winchester, Mo., the daughter of John Willis and Elsie L. Waples Banks. She married Robert M. Walker on May 29, 1936, in Kahoka, Mo. He survives.

Additional survivors include: her son-in-law, Bruce Van Dever of Keokuk; her daughter-in-law, Judy Walker of Promise City, Iowa; three grandchildren, Lisa Fuller and her husband, Joe, of Fort Madison, Lynn Schwiete and her husband, Chuck, of Keokuk, and Steve Van Dever of Atlanta, Ga.; two step-grandchildren, Brady Jones of Las Vegas, and Shannon Bolt of Sumter, S. C.; three greatgrandchildren, Jordan and Haley Fuller and Matthew Schwiete; two step-greatgrandchildren, Mickey and Nacole Bolt; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carole Jean Van Dever; a son, Robert Gale Walker; and one sister and one brother in infancy.

Mrs. Walker graduated from Keokuk High School in 1926, graduated from Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Mo., and taught in the Clark County rural schools for five years.

When she moved to Keokuk in 1934, she was employed in the office at Irwin Phillips Company until her retirement.

She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and the U.M.W.

She was a charter member of the Carrie Raich King's Daughters Circle.

Services are at 10 a.m. Wednesday at DeJong's Funeral Home in Keokuk, with the Rev. Paul Pennington officiating.

Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk.

Visitation is from 7 to 9 p.m. today, with family meeting friends at that time.
