AGNES NORTON KEEDY, of 13303 Briarcliff Drive in Hagerstown, died Monday, Nov. 17, 2008, at Washington County Hospital. Born in Newton Hamilton, Pa., she was the daughter of Charles W. and Chloe Rosenberry Norton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry E. Keedy Jr., in 1970. She was a graduate of Mount Union (Pa.) High School and a 1937 graduate of Washington County Hospital School of Nursing. Prior to retirement, she was the director of nursing at Coffman Nursing Home. She was a member of John Wesley United Methodist Church, where she had worked in the nursery.
She is survived by one son, C. Edgar Keedy and his wife, Debbie, of Williamsport.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Gladys Pairits and Erma Schilling; and one brother, Zane Norton.
Services were held at the Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, ; burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
