Carolyn Staab Carpenter, 70, of Colorado Springs, CO, died Wednesday, December 4, 2013, in her home.Carolyn was born August 22, 1943, in Hays, KS, to Alex L. and Gladys A. (Ross) Staab. In 1961, she graduated from St. Mary's High School in Colorado Springs and married Merle Max Carpenter. She earned her bachelor's in 1989 and MBA in 1991.She was the office manager at Economy Tire in the 1970s, Coordinator of Administrative Services at Regis University for fourteen years, and ran her own bookkeeping business (Minding Your Business) from 1996 until retirement. She was a volunteer for CASA, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, and the Cheyenne Mountain branch library.
