Obituary: Shawn Soil
Shawn D. Soil Sr., 24, of Columbia, died Saturday, April 1, 2000, in Columbia.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 8, at Second Baptist Church with the Rev. Ray Warren officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 7, at Warren Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Soil was born Feb. 6, 1976, in Columbia to Corinthian Soil and Sherley Hayes.
He graduated from Hickman High School and received associate's degrees in automotive technology and automotive collision repair technology from Linn State Technical College. He was employed at Auto Zone Auto Parts. He was a member of Mount Celestial Baptist Church in McBaine.
Survivors include his mother, of Columbia; his father, of Marshall; a son, Shawn Soil Jr. of Columbia; a daughter, LaShawntay Soil of Columbia; five brothers, James McBride Jr. of Columbia, Gailian Ray Whitley of Fayette, Daryl Whitley of Glasgow, Corinthian Jackson of Chicago, and Kevin Brown of Kansas City; and six sisters, Contesa Hayes and Michelle Smith, both of Kansas City, Tammy Holly of Moberly, Schequelia Uguntoye of North Carolina, and Danielle Lockhart and Tiffany Jackson, both of Chicago.
