He was born in Parkersburg the son of the late Rev. Joe Raymond and Mary Maxine Carmichael Emerick.
He was a self employed auto mechanic and a member of the Heart of Worship Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Ann Wilmoth Emerick of Davisville; two stepsons; six grandchildren; four sisters; two brothers; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother; one sister and two infant sisters.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg with Pastors Tim Henson and Doug Anderson officiating. Interment will be in Walker Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5-8 p.m.
