FALCONER---Mrs. Cecilia J. Ostrander, 81, of 62 Maple Shade Ave., Falconer, died at 8:20 p.m. Tuesday (Sept. 7, 1976) in WCA Hospital. She was the wife of Alton C. Ostrander.
Mrs. Ostrander was born Aug. 2, 1895, in Ellington, a daughter of Arthur and Gertrude Rice Anderson.
She was a member of First Congregational Church of Ellington and a former member of Ellington Grange. She also belonged to the Thursday Club.
Survivors include her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Catherine Erwin of Ellington; two grandchildren, Deborah and Donald Erwin of Ellington; three sisters, Mrs. Alice Benson of Jamestown, Mrs. Henry Hanson of RD Lewis Street, Jamestown, and Mrs. Arthur Hanson of Busti; four brothers, Arthur Anderson and Roger Anderson of Ellington, E. Paul Anderson of Kennedy, and LeRoy Anderson of Irving.
Mrs. Ostrander was preceded in death by a twin sister, Gertruce A. Kofod, Feb. 19, 1968, and a brother, Lewis Anderson, Feb. 18, 1968.
The funeral service will be held at 1: 30 p.m. Friday in the Falconer Funeral Home. The Rev. Joseph L. Hedrick, pastor of the First Congregational Church of Ellington, will officiate. Burial will be in the Valley View Cemetery, Ellington.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 Thursday at the funeral home.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the First Congregational Church of Ellington or the American Cancer Society.
