Arthur Anderson, Ellington Man, Died on Tuesday
Arthur F. Anderson, 77, a lifelong resident of Ellington, died at his home on Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alice Anderson five daughters, Mrs. Alice Benson, Mrs. Gertrude Kofod, and Mrs. Cecilia Ostrander of Ellington, Mrs. Ruth Hansen of Falconer and Mrs. Alma Hansen of Jamestown; five sons, Arthur, Paul, Roger and Louis Anderson of Ellington and Roy Anderson of Buffalo; 17 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was a member of Ellington Grange; had served as a director of the former Conewango Valley Bank, on the Ellington election board and as superintendent of highways of the town. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the home, with Rev. M. H. Horton of Conewango Valley officiating. Interment will be in the Ellington cemetery.
