Daughter of Adam H. and Grace Hope DeLong, she married Carl Davis, was widowed, a practical nurse, lived at 234 Atlantic Ave, Franklin, died in Oil City Hospital of respiratory failure due to coronary occlusion, per death certificate 053511-69, whose informant was Floyd Davis of Franklin. Buried May 14 1969.

Mrs. Rose Davis, 69, of 234 Atlantic Ave, died Sunday morning in the Oil City Hospital shortly after she was admitted. She was born in Franklin March 23, 1900, daughter of Adam H. and Grace Hope DeLong.

She married Carl Davis who died in 1962.

She worked as a practical nurse, and was a member of Congress Hill Church of God, and the Ladies Auxiliary of Eagles in Franklin.

Surviving are four sons, Floyd E. Davis, Franklin, George R. Davis, Jamestown, NY, Paul A. Davis, Oil City, and Jack W. Davis, Rocky Grove; three daughters, Mrs. Paul (Marie) Brown, Derrick City, Mrs. Carrie Harrah, Rocky Grove, and Mrs. Ivan (Connie) Battles, Franklin; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a brother, Frederick DeLong, Flint, MI; and a sister, Mrs. Daniel (Gertrude) Haggerty, Pittsburgh. Deceased are two brothers and a sister.

Services will be at Abernathy Memorial Home at 2 pm Wednesday with Rev. Paul Tobias, pastor of Congress Hill Church of God, officiating. Interment will be in Lamey Cemetery.
