Obituary for Bernita May Bruemmer
Bernita May Bruemmer, recently of Royse City, TX, previously of Oklahoma City, OK, passed away April 22, 2018, at the age of 86. She was born August 25, 1931 to Sylvan Christopher Lyle and Pauline E. Jackson in El Reno, OK. Bernita was an office administrator for a pharmaceutical distribution company and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Oklahoma City. She was an avid reader who was extremely talented at writing poetry. Bernita also expressed her creativity through needlepoint and crochet. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother and adored spending time with her family. Bernita will be missed tremendously and remembered always.

Bernita is survived by her loving children: Darryl Ray Bruemmer and wife Ann of Royse City, Sheryl Lynn Devlin of Oklahoma City and Paula Sue Pechar of Los Angeles, CA; grandchildren: Robert Paul Bruemmer, Kimberly Annette Sykes, Donald Alvin Davis, III, Lisa Gayle Mendell, Michael Dennis Pechar, Kenneth George Pechar, Michelle Denise Morris and Scott Devlin; great grandchildren: Hudson Paul Bruemmer, Matthew Hailey Orion Sykes, Madison Raeann Sykes, Stephanie Lynn Chism, Michael Anthony Mendell, Robert Carl Mendell, Joshua Patrick Davis, Zachary Holden Pechar and Nathan Riley Pechar; and great-great grandchildren: Elisabeth Baylee Eddington, Joseph Jude Lemley and Ryan Jaxon Cooper Chism; along with a host of loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband: Paul Otto Bruemmer; brother: Bernard Jackson; sister: Wanda Jackson; and sons-in-law: Michael Devlin and Frank Dennis Pechar.

Funeral services will be held 11:00am Saturday, April 28, 2018, at First United Methodist Church, 1200 E. Yellow Jacket Ln., Rockwall, 75087, with Rev. Jenna Morrison officiating. A gathering for family and friends will be held at the church prior to the service, beginning at 10:00am. Interment will follow at a later date at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Oklahoma City.
