Larry W. Stewart, 59, of Danville, died at 1:20 AM Tuesday, December 3, 2013, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Born May 26, 1954, in Burlington, he was the son of James N. and Louise Atherton Stewart. On May 14, 1977, he married Ruth Ann Baker in Burlington.

Larry worked for A.Y. McDonald and a gardener at the Southeastern Community College Greenhouse.

He had received his Associated of Arts Degree in Horticulture.

He was of the Christian faith. He was a member of the Stained Glass Artisans. He enjoyed organic gardening, 70's music, bird watching, and helping others. He was known as a free spirit. He loved Jesus, his dog, "Layla" and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert.
