He was born November 25, 1925 in Michigan City, Indiana to the late Thomas and Rose (Azar) Kalil. On January 19, 1952 in LaPorte He married Loieta "Pat" Maynard who survives in Michigan City.
Also surviving are a daughter, Debra (Chuck) Nadaf of Michigan City, IN; 2 sons, Jeffrey (Cyndy) Kalil and Tony Kalil, both of Michigan City, IN; 3 grandchildren, Jeffrey Kalil, Tyler Kalil, Cassie (Eric) Bechinski; 2 Great-Grandchildren, Sienna and Beau Kalil; and a brother Michael Kalil of Michigan City, IN.
He was preceded in death by 4 sisters, Emily Hill, Frieda Kalil, Edna Kalil and Margaret Nowfel; and 3 brothers, Fred, Charles and Joseph Kalil.
He worked as city vector for Michigan City and was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran of Vietnam having received two purple hearts.
Albert was a member of American Legion Skwiat Post 451 and the V.F.W. 2536. He enjoyed singing, bowling and watching all sports. Albert was in the bowling hall of fame and also played baseball in the Dodger's minor league.
