Robert B. Sturgis Robert B. Sturgis, 77, Newman, Calif., the husband of a former La Crosse woman, died Friday, June 20, in a Stevinson, Calif., hospital. He was born in St. Paul on Oct. 11, 1902, to Samuel and Elizabeth (Bement) Sturgis, and married Adeline Ruud. Before his retirement he was office manager for a construction company. Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Charles (Elizabeth) Pasek of Miami, Fla., his stepson, Robert D. of Yreka, Calif.; three granddaughters; and his sister, Mrs. Stanislaus (Elizabeth) Czetwerynski of Tryon, N.C. His brother preceded. him in death. Services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in the Dickinson Funeral Homes Gillette Street Chapel. The Rev. Karl Bell will officiate and burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m.
