Eliza's first husband was Hugh Varner Rachford.  They married about 1837 and had six children:  Synthia Ann b.1836?, Mary Elizabeth b. 1838-1845, Nancy Elizabeth b. 1840, Robert Elijah b. 1842, Rachel Catherine b. 1843, Sarah Caroline b. 1845-1846. (confirmed names in 1850 census) Hugh died in Sept 1850. I have not found a burial place for Hugh at this time.  Hugh's parents were Robert Rachford and Catherine Shofner Rachford.

Eliza married William Sutton in 1860. I have not researched to see what happened to Sutton.   Eliza married Henry Martin in 1863.

Eliza was known as "Fannie" and her maiden name was Barnes.
