Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Monday at the Johnson Funeral Home for Cecil D. Miller, 69, of Mulberry, who died at the St. Elizabeth hospital, Lafayette, Friday night. He died of complications after having been a patient in the hospital since Jan. 6.
He was born in Clinton county on October 16, 1893, a son of Ezra C. and Elda M. (Hammel) Miller. He was married to Ethel Roth in 1913, and to Amy Cornell on July 12, 1934, who died April 29, 1942.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Violet LaGuire of Lafayette and Mrs. Doris Brown of Mulberry route 1; a sister, Mrs. Harold Clark Sr., also of Mulberry route 1; five grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Burial was in the Providence cemetery. The Rev. Walter Vonderohe officiated at the services.
