Gustave A Dieterich

Gustave A Dieterich, 81, of 873 Lowell Street, died suddenly at 9:10 o'clock Wednesday morning. The body is at the Huebsch Funeral Home, where frieds may call after 10 o'clock Thursday morning. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.

Mr. Dieterich was born in Posen, Germany on Nov. 22, 1861, and came to this country in 1884. He came to Dubuque directly and had lived here since. For many years he was employed as a cabinet maker at the Farley and Loetscher Company here, retiring about 14 years ago.

He was a member of the East Christian Science Church of Dubuque and the Mother Church at Boston, Mass.

Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. H.A. (Louise) Sinning, Rudd, Ia., and Mrs. Emil (Hattie) Donatsch and Mrs. Leo (Emma) Hemecke, both of Dubuque; two sisters Mrs. Nick Wagner and Mrs. Emma Wimmer, Dubuque, two brothers, Herman O Dieterich, Dubuque, and Reinhold Dieterich, Los Angeles, Calif.; also six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Lizette Kroh Dieterich and three sons, Walter, Carl, and Dr. Ernest Dieterich.
