Mary Hobart, 79, of Moravia died Sunday morning, July 13, 2003, at Centerville Nursing and Rehab. She was born Aug. 6, 1923 in Centerville, the daughter of Frank and Pauline (Guzzie) Adams. She married Robert Hobart at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Centerville May 29,1942.
She is survived by her husband, Bob, of Moravia; one daughter, Susan Dirks, and her husband, Greg of Iowa City; three sons, Bob Jr. and his wife, Jane of Canton, Ill., Phil and his wife, Linda of Cedar Rapids, and Albert, of Ames; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Abie Adams of Centerville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Phil Adams; and three grandchildren.
She was employed at the Golden Age Care Center as office manager for many years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the BPW, and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Joe Miller C.PP.S. officiating. Burial will be in the Haines Cemetery.
Friends may call all day Tuesday (today) With the family present from 6-8 p.m. at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
A memorial, has been established to St. Mary's Catholic Church and may be left or mailed to the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, PO Box 6, Centerville, IA 52544.
