Aldor R. Chevrette, 87, formerly of Logee St., Woonsocket, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at the Woonsocket Health Center with family by his side.
Life:
He was the beloved husband for 62 years of the late Patricia M. (Schram) Chevrette. Born in Woonsocket on August 3, 1926, he was the son of the late Joseph and Flora (Boucher) Chevrette.
He was a lifelong resident of Woonsocket and also had resided for 7 years in Daytona Beach, FL. He was a foundry worker at local foundries.
Mr. Chevrette was a WWII United States Navy Veteran attaining the rank of Seaman, Second Class and received the World War II Victory Medal, American Theatre Medal, and the European African Middle Eastern Theatre Medal. He served on destroyers and minesweepers.
He was a life member of the D.A.V. He also enjoyed fishing. Aldor was a wonderful man and will be greatly missed.
Family:
He was the loving father of his only son, the late Robert A. "Bob" Chevrette, and is survived by his daughter-in-law Jeannine Chevrette, and his 1 granddaughter
He was the brother of Albert Chevrette of Columbus, GA, Florence Brodeur and Doris Beauregard, both of Woonsocket, and the late Joseph, Leo, Omer and Theodore Chevrette, and many nieces and nephews.

Interment with military honors will follow at St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham.
