Mrs. Ross was retired from Seward Luggage Company. Mrs. Ross was preceded in death by: her husband, Ralph Ross Sr. and a son, Terry L. Thomas.
She is survived by: five sons, Billy Joe Ross of Charles City, Ralph Ross Jr., Joseph Calvin Ross, Dennis Thomas, all of McKenney, Donnie Thomas and wife, Lisa of Dinwiddie; three daughters, Annette Thomas and companion, Gary Starr of McKenney, Nancy L. Hower and companion, Lee Bishop of Dinwiddie and Frances Hensen and husband, Calvin of Oklahoma; daughter in-law, Becky Thomas of North Carolina; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Jackie Scott; and one brother, Ronnie Kirkland, both of Dinwiddie.
A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, with the Rev. Grady Powell officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends Sunday, Sept. 8, 2013, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
