Wesley John Ziegler, 82, of 113 W. Benjamin Ave. Conyngham, died Thursday morning at Mountain City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Hazleton. Born in Hazleton on Nov. 5, 1926, he was a son of the late William John and Dora (Brandau) Ziegler. Wes was a 1944 graduate of Hazleton High School and spent his entire working life employed byMyers Lumber Co. as their yard supervisor. He was a member of Christ Church United Church of Christ, Conyngham, and a former member of both Conyngham Fire Co. and Conyngham Valley Lions.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Hope Myers, last month; sons, Wesley and Donald Ziegler, in May 2008; a daughter; a granddaughter; a great granddaughter; and a half-brother, William Otter.
His funeral will be held Monday at 10 a.m. from Krapf & Hughes Funeral Home Inc., Butler Chapel, 530 W. Butler Drive, Drums, where the Rev. Lynn Allhusen will preside. Burial will followin Mountain View Cemetery, West Hazleton.
