Margaret Belle Bennington Jordan, 92, died on Saturday, November 23, 2013. A native of Lexington, Virginia, and resident of Waynesboro, Virginia, she retired from the United States Government. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Jordan; her parents; a brother; and five sisters. Survivors include her sister, Mattie Smith; her caretaker and nephew, Roy A. Bennington Sr.; numerous other nieces and nephews; and host of relatives. The family would like to thank Shanece Newton-CRNA for her dedicated care and service; as well as the staff at Personal Touch Home Health services and her hospice nurse Jan Looft. A service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Benjamin W. Dowling III officiating. Burial will follow at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are being handled by Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, Virginia
