Margaret "Peggy" Kozar, 91, of Monessen, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012, in her home. She was born June 5, 1920, in Scothaven, Pa., daughter of the late James and Ada Hughes Higby. She was a loving and caring person who volunteered her time with the Monessen Meals on Wheels. Surviving are her sister, Frances Hough; numerous nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Kozar; brothers, George and Clarence Higby; and sisters, Jane Angelo and May Rascoe. Mrs. Kozar's family would like to thank the Amedisys Hospice for their kindness and caring shown to not only Mrs. Kozar, but to the entire family. A memorial service will be held at The Church of Sutersville, Sutersville, on Friday, Jan. 6, at 1 p.m. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., Family Owned and Operated as a Member of the Golden Rule, 1209 Grand Blvd., Monessen.
