Clifford Leonard Calvin Long, 83, of Cassville, passed away Thursday, August 30, 2007, in his home.

He was born March 24, 1924, in Farmington, AR, the son of Boyd and Dora {Warrick} Long. On July 24, 1990, in Cassville, he was united in marriage to Violet {Lundy} McVey, who survives.

Additional survivors include: two step-sons, Randall McVey and his wife, Cindy, of Des Moines, IA, and Dan McVey and his wife, Anne, of Tampa, FL; one sister, Clorene Jesseph, of Cassville; six grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

He received his education in Blackwell, OK. During World War II he served in the United States Army. For several years he was employed with Justin Boot Factory in the maintenance department. He was of the Pentecostal faith.

Graveside services with military honors were held on Thursday, September 6, 2007, in Oak Hill Cemetery, Cassville. Rev. Loy Bowen conducted the services.
