WATERBURY — Mrs. Eileen (Gallagher) Sarajak, 63, of Juniper Ridge Drive, died Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2010, at Waterbury Hospital surrounded by her loving family after an extended illness. She was the wife of William D. Sarajak.

Eileen was born Dec. 9, 1946, in Waterbury, a daughter of Joseph A. and the late Amelia "Millie" (Rader) Gallagher, and lived in Waterbury most of her life. She was a graduate of Watertown High School, class of 1964. Prior to her retirement in 2009, she was employed as an office manager at Body Cote Thermal Processing where she worked for many years.

Eileen was very active in Girl Scouts and was a Girl Scout leader for many years. She was a member of the Naugatuck Valley Genealogical Society and was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in Watertown.

Besides her husband of 40 years, of Waterbury, and her father of Watertown, she leaves a daughter, Elizabeth K. Gianfrancesco of Danbury; two brothers, Brian Gallagher of Earlysville, Va., Kevin Gallagher of Nashville, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Joseph Gianfrancesco IV and Lexie Joanne Gianfrancesco, both of Danbury; and three nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Joanne DaMicis.

Funeral 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, from the O'Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main St., Oakville, to St. John the Evangelist Church, Watertown, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of her family. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
