General Taylor Cooper, 69, of Portsmouth Ohio Rt. 1 died Tuesday at Mercy Hospital.
A native of Kentucky, he was a retired Norfolk & Western Railway employee and a member of the Dry Run Mission Church.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Ora{Bloomfield}Cooper; four sons, Marion of Hillsboro Ohio, Earl Bloomfield of Lebanon Ohio, Gary and Donald, both at home; seven daughters, Mrs. Mary Pennington and Mrs. Belva Kirkpatrick, both of Springfield Mrs. Mamie Stoner of Van Nuys, Calif., Mrs. Betty McNamara of Columbus, Mrs. Anna Davis of Granite City, Mrs. Vickie Bell of Wheelersburg and Mrs. Alma Wolfe of Otway; seven brothers, Leslie, Wilbur, and Venton, all of Morehead Ky., Samuel of Worthington Ky., Ben of Indiana, Everett of Owingsville Ky., and Werner of Marion, a sister Mrs. Ellie Hitte of Morehead Ky., 41 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Services are to be conducted at 1 P.M. Friday at Brock Funeral Home in Portsmouth, with Rev. Charles Mainous officiating. Burial is to be in the Morgan Cemetery in Laurel Ky.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 tonight.
