"William P. Gardner, 77 years old, passed away at his home on North Carver street at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon. He had been in poor health for some time. Death was due to a complication of diseases.

"Mr. Gardner was born on April 14, 1853. He was the son of Edgar and Martha Aldridge Gardner. His wife, who was Anna Mires, passed away on June 12, 1928.

"The body will remain at the Howe mortuary until 10'oclock Sunday morning, when it will be taken to the home of the daughter, Mrs. Andy Myers, 324 North Carver street. The funeral services will be held at the Myers home Monday morning at 10 o'clock. The Rev. R. S. Grubb will officiate. Burial will be in the South Park Cemetery.

"Mr. Gardner is survived by four children: Mrs. Andy Myers, Greensburg; Mrs. Anna McKinsey, Indianapolis; Harry Gardner, San Antonio, Texas, and Gilbert Gardner, Greensburg."
