Born March 15, 1925 in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Dr. Andrew A. and Marie (Covert) Anders. He graduated from Northeast High School where he was commencement speaker, received his BA with honors in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, received his MBA from La Salle University, and was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was employed for over 35 years by Leeds & Northrup and was later a lecturer and professor at LaSalle University, Penn State University, and Montgomery County Community College. Mr. Anders was a member of Central Schwenkfelder Church where he had served as moderator. He also served as secretary and on the board of trustees for the Perkiomen School, and was a member and fellow of the American Production & Inventory Control Society.
