Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the George M. Wittich Funeral home. Rev. H. C. Hafermann will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.
Visitation will begin this evening at the funeral home.
Born Feb. 7, 1902 at Springfield, Tenn., Mr. Welker was a son of Charles D. and Mattie McClary Welker. He had lived in Muscatine most of his life.
June 5, 1926 Jean Welker married the former Edith H. Rice at Rock Island. He had been employed as a machinist and janitor at Muscatine General Hospital.
Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Edith H. Welker, Muscatine; three sons, Darwin and Robert of Muscatine and Clifford, of Ottumwa; also six grandchilden.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
