Mrs. Margaret Corum, 92, widow of Richard Dillard Corum, passed away Friday morning, March 8, 2013.

Born in Emporia, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late James Edward and Clarice Ivey Williams.

Margaret was retired as an Accounting Clerk from Burlington Cotton Company with 30 year's service. She was a longtime member of Northside United Methodist Church. Following her retirement, she greatly enjoyed many activities at the church and volunteering with Meals on Wheels.

She is survived by her loving family, her daughters, Loretta Durham and husband, Mickey, and Dianne Groome; her sisters, Jeanette Katz and Dorothy Roberts; her grandchildren, Mike Durham (Cathy) and Ashley Karr; and great-grandchildren, Emma Durham and Ryley and Reid Karr. She was predeceased by her son, Dickie Corum.

A memorial service will be 11:00am Saturday, March 16, 2013 in the chapel at Northside United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels or Northside United Methodist Church.
