Peter Boury was born in Rice Lake, Wisconsin in 1877. His parents were George Boury (1839-1898) and Charlotte Oshoga (Be Man De We Kwe) (1840-1901). Charlotte was of the Lac Courte Oreilles Chippewa tribe. There were three children in the Boury family.

Peter married Rosella Grace O'Donnell on January 11, 1898 in Barron County. Their firstborn child, George William, passed away at three years of age. They went on to have three daughters born in 1901, 1906, and 1908.

Peter and his family remained in Rice Lake after the death of his father in 1898 in March. In September of that year, a fire broke out in the region and all of George's farm and its contents burned to the ground.

In 1917 Peter moved his family to St. Paul, Minnesota where he worked as a carpenter. In 1918 Peter was working as a thresher in Cleveland Stutsman, North Dakota. It appears that Peter and Rosella may have separated in 1921 when Peter moved to Milwaukee where he passed away in 1944. Rosella had passed away in St. Paul in 1935. She is buried in Ladysmith.Age 67.
