Mrs. Mary Distler, wife of Matt Distler, farmer in the Elston community, died at St. Mary's hospital at 4:35 o'clock yesterday afternoon of complications following childbirth. She was 40 years old.
Mrs. Distler was born at Elston on September 28, 1899, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Welch. She was a member of St. Martin's Catholic church.
Besides her husband, she is survived by the following children: Martin, Lydian, Anna Marie, Loretta and Margaret, all of the home. Five brothers, John, Lawrence, Will, Morris and Raymond Welch, also survive as do four sisters, Mrs. Josie Leonard, Mrs. Verna Hartwig, Mrs. Clara Ousley and Miss Pauline Welch. All are residents of the Elston community.
Funeral arrangements were not completed last night. The body will be taken to the family home.
