"Sylvester Lincoln Snyder, 85, died Sunday night May 4 1947 at 9:40 o'clock at his home at Galilee, where he had lived 85 years. Born Nov 26 1861 Carbon County, the son of M & M Nathan Snyder. He married Amanda Albright and she died in 1933. His survivors are three sons - Lloyd of Meriden Ct., Walter of Galilee and Marvin of Brooklyn.
Funeral Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock at the Tegeler Funeral Home, Rev Carl Yingling pastor of the Damascus Methodist church officiated.
Interment in Hillside cemetery, Damascus.
Mr Snyder was a farmer and in tilling the soil collected many Indian arrows and other items. His collection of over 200 pieces, gathered in fire counties, was given to the Wayne County Historical society in 1934. He was greatly interested in Indian lore."
