Caroline B. Sandback, 86, of Verndale died March 23, 2006, at the Elders Home in New York Mills. She was born Nov. 27, 1919, to Henry and Grace (Dorman) Weiher in Bertha. She attended the District 14 school. On May 10, 1941, she married Chris Finck, and they farmed in the Wing River Township. He died Jan. 8, 1971. She married Glenn E. Sandback on Nov. 30, 1974. He died on Sept. 20, 2005. She enjoyed horses, making dolls and doll clothes, and playing cards. Her funeral was March 27 at the Hope Chapel Alliance Church with the Rev. Dwayne Weiher officiating.
