Katrina, the matey of Capt. Jiggs, passed away suddenly from unknown causes. She was about 10 years old. She was adopted with Capt. Jiggs from the local animal shelter. The story was, the shelter had her for about six months, and no one was interested in adopting her. They didn't know if it was due to her coloring or because she had six toes on her front paws. It could just be that she was a feisty cat who didn't like her paws or tail being touched. She had a kink in her tail that appeared to be from some kind of accident when she was a kitten.
I thought she was just perfect. She is missed.
She left behind playmates, Pharaoh, Antonio and Pablo (the latter two also rescues from the local animal shelter) and long-time canine buddy, Sonja. Her remains were cremated and will be spread with her buddies one day.
