Edward Bielen, 96, Mosinee, died Sunday, November 10, 2013 at Kennedy Park Nursing Home under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice.He was born July 7, 1917 in West Virginia, son of the late John and Pauline (Barscz) Bielen. On March 19, 1942, he married Eleanor Laszcz in Coffee County, Tennessee. She preceded him in death on March 19, 2011.Ed was inducted into the United States Army on April 7, 1942 and was honorably discharged on December 19, 1945 at Camp McCoy, WI. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and crafts. Ed and Eleanor loved their time spent up at their cabin on Oscar Jennie Lake.Survivors include his son, James (Kerry) Bielen, Mosinee; two grandchildren, Brooke Bielen, Minneapolis and Jonathon Bielen, Wausau; sister, Elizabeth "Betty" (Myron Sr.) Kroll, sister-in-law; Marcella Bielen and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 6 brothers, Walter, Frank, Robert, Peter, Alois and Ted and 3 sisters, Angeline Hahn, Clara Molinare and Julia Stroyny. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery.
