John Hanel Dies After Long Illness
John Hanel, 96, of 1295 Erie Ave., North Tonawanda, died yesterday after a long illness.
Mr. Hanel, a retired wood turner, was born in Buffalo, but resided for the greater part of his life in North Tonawanda. His survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Frank Santorri and Mrs. William Rison, both of North Tonawanda, and two grand and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements have been made by the Wattengel Funeral Home, 307 Oliver St.

HANEL-John Hanel, 96, of 1295 Erie Ave., North Tonawanda, died Wednesday after a long illness. He was born in Buffalo and had resided the greater part of his life in North Tonawanda. He was a retired wood turner. Mr. Hanel was the husband of the late Gunillo Jensen Hanel. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Frank Santorri and Mrs. William Rison, both of North Tonawanda; two grand and three great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Wattengel Funeral Home, 307 Oliver St., where funeral services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Howard E. Funk will officiate. Burial in Elmlawn.
