She was born in Davidson County, the daughter of Howard Jones Jarrett and Stella Eddinger Jarrett. She did custodial work at Bethel United Methodist Church and Grace Lutheran Church for more than 30 years. She attended Bethel United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Paige Edward Jarrett and a brother-in-law Carl Rider.
She was married to Mr. J. C. Hill who survives of the home. Also surviving are three sons, Jerry Arnold Hill of Thomasville, Jason Glenn Hill and wife Alease of Lexington, and Jon Wesley Hill and wife Tia of Lexington; two sisters, Barbara Rider of Lexington, and Hazel Alcon and husband W. A. of Thomasville; two brothers, Austin Jarrett and wife Loretta of Thomasville, and Jim Jarrett and wife Cathy of Lexington; six grandchildren, Zac Hill of Raleigh, Rachael Hill of Wilmington, Zane Hill of Lexington, Ian Hill of Lexington, Laci Hill of Lexington, and Landon Hill of Lexington; a very special friend, Sue Crouch of Lexington; sister-in-law, Louise Jarrett of Thomasville and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in J. C. Green and Sons Chapel with Rev. Tim Starbuck and Rev. Ben Shepherd officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park.
