Elva Elaine Fisher, 73, died Wednesday, October 30, 1991 at her home of cancer.


She was born Jan 8, 1918 in Uintah, a daughter of John Frederick and Alta Virginia Keyes Peterson.


She married Roland W. Fowers on March 31, 1952 in Las Vegas, Nev. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple LDS Temple. He died July 8, 1965. She married Arlo L. Fisher on June 14, 1968 in Evanston, Wyoming.


She was a lifelong resident of Uinta.


She was a member of the Uintah 1st LDS Ward. She had taught Sunday School and worked in the Primary. She was also a visiting teacher.


Mrs. Fisher retired from Defense Depot Ogden when she had been an Inventory clerk.


She loved to grow flowers and work in her garden. She was always concerned about her family and all people she came in contact with.


Surviving are her husband of Uintah, two sons and two daughters. George and wife Thelma Barnett and Rex R Fowers, all of Ogden; Mrs. Roger (Jacqueline "Jackie")Nelson, Uintah; Mrs. Rick (Georgia) Mathews, Ogden; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.


Also surviving are two brothers and one sister, Philip Justin Peterson, Uintah; Ralph Edgar Peterson, Fruitland, Utah; Eliza Evelyn Miller, Layton.


She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.


Funeral services will be held Monday at 11am at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3406 Washington Blvd, with Bishop Robert Funk officiating.


Friends may call at the mortuary Sunday from 6 to 8pm and Monday 9:45 to 10:45am.


Interment Lindquist's Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch in South Ogden.
