Phillip E. Stith, 46, 107 1/2 N. Franklin, died this week in his residence. Born in Indianapolis, Mr. Stith grew up in the Muncie area. He graduated high school in 1961. He worked in the 1960s for Packer's Packing Co. and Chevrolet-Muncie (now Hydra-Matic Division of General Motors Corp., Muncie Transmission Plant).
He served in the Marines during the late 1960s and early 1970s. He had resided in Arizona before moving back to Muncie one month ago.
Surviving are his mother, Emma Stith, Muncie; a daughter, Salli Berlin, Wooster, Ohio; four brothers, Jim Stith of Sheboygan, Wis., Bob Stith of Yorktown, Bill Stith of Dayton, Ohio, and Terry Stith of California; and two sisters, Mrs. Allen (Debra) Williams of Eaton, and Mrs. Randy (Eva) Smith of Albany.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Parson Mortuary-Adams Chapel. There will be no calling hours.
