Mrs. Eargle was a native of Ellenton, South Carolina, having made Jackson her home for the past 58 years. She was a charter member of the First Baptist Church of Jackson where she formerly taught the Dorcas and Joy Sunday School Classes and was active in WMU. Mrs. Eargle was a member of the Order of the Easter Star, the Red Hat Society and was president of the B.A.L.L. Club. She was a true southern lady who loved God, was devoted to her family, cared deeply for her country and always put the needs of others ahead of her own.
Mrs. Eargle was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, H. Ray Eargle.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Jacqueline Eargle, North Augusta, SC and Jesse and Beverly Eargle, Orangeburg, SC; a sister, Grace Burckhalter, Jackson, SC; three grandchildren, Jason Eargle, Austin Eargle (Sarah) and Karla Eargle.
