Edward Charles Hotchkiss, a poultry supervisor at the Perry Packing Company, died Saturday, August 11, 1951, at 5:30 p.m. at a Marysville, Kansas, hospital.

Edward was born January 13, 1891, in Burlingame, Kansas. His father was killed in an accident when Edward was just 5 years old in 1896. Edward first married Maude Wilson in 1909. To this union was born one daughter, Helena. Maude died in 1942.

In 1917, when Edward completed his WWI draft registration card, he listed his occupation as coal miner. Later on, he was employed by both the Seymour Packing Co and the Perry Packing Co.

Edward was survived by his second wife, Lottie, as well as his daughter Helena.
