Nels Christopherson passed away Sunday, July 6, at St. Lukes hospital in Alexandria after a short illness caused by a stroke June 26. Mr. Christopherson was born Jan. 21, 1871, on a farm in Urness township and was 76 years, five months and 15 days of age at the time of his death. He spent his entire life on the farm in Urness township and was a lifelong member of the West Moe church. Mr. Christopherson is survived by his aged mother, four sisters, Mrs. Sophie Nelson and Mrs. F. Okerlund of Alexandria, and Mrs. Ole Barsness and Mrs. Helen Barsness of Urness; two brothers, Joseph and Oscar of Urness. Funeral services were held Thursday, July 10, at two o'clock at the West Moe church, with Rev. A. T. Tjornhom officiating. Pallbearers were Archie Ellingson, Oliver Hanson, Adolph Johnson, Orval Benson, Theodore Halvorson and Harold Amundson. Interment was made in the church cemetery.
