Barbara Joe Bickerstaff, 76, formerly of Jacksonville, Texas, died Tuesday morning in the Hemphill Care Center. She was born in Mt. Selman, TX, to Leonard and Lula Melissa Hamilton Bickerstaff. Barbara was a Christian and liked to work puzzles and make doll clothes. She loved her nieces and nephews.
Barbara is survived by her sisters Sarah Fling and her husband Roy of Evadale and Marilyn Roberts of Winnfield, Louisiana, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6:00PM until 8:00PM, Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, in the Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr St., Hemphill, Texas. Funeral services will be at 10:00AM, Thursday, Oct. 7, 2013, in the Starr Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at 2:00PM in the Providence Cemetery in Rusk, Texas.
