Mrs. Sarah A. Hitch, 73 years old, widow of Joseph Hitch who died in this city nineteen years ago passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clark Pittman, 2140 Home Avenue, early this morning, her death following a few months of illness of paralysis. Mrs. Hitch was stricken last March and for the past three months, she had been totally blind.

Mrs. Hitch had been a resident of this city many years and had a large circle of friends and acquaintances. She was a member of the Christian Church and active in the church work as long as her health permitted.

Besides Mrs. Pittman, she leave another daughter, Miss Ida Hitch, at home and a son, Frank Hitch of Brownstown. A son, Philip Hitch died last March. There are also three brothers, Lafayette and Holyda Talkington of this city, and Charles Talkington of Florida and three sisters, Mrs. Martha Aikin of Clifford; Mrs. Ed Lambert of Taylorsville, and Mrs. Freeman Henderson of Indianapolis.
