Douglas Mark Earp, 44, of Poplar Grove Road, Boone, died Nov. 3, 2007 at Watauga Medical Center. He was born in Watauga County, Feb. 19, 1963. He was a painter and a member of Grace Baptist Church in Foscoe.
Surviving are his mother, Alma "Sis" Earp; one brother, Dallas Earp and wife, Kim, of Lenoir; two nephews, Amos Earp of Foscoe and Matthew Barnes of Lenoir.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Aud and Carrie Hollars; and his paternal grandparents, Luther and Exie Earp.
Memorial services were held at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Eugene Braswell and the Rev. Jack Jones.
