Champ C. Carden, 77, of died Tuesday September 8, 1992, in a Bluefield hospital, following a long illness.
Born April 17, 1915, at Talcott, he was the son of the late Manley Edward and Ada Rudisell Carden.
Mr. Carden was a retired employee of the Hoechat Celanese Corporation, a World War II U.S Army veteran and a member of the Peterstown United Methodist Church, where he was a member of the Men's Bible Class.

He was preceded in death by his wife Pearl M. Carden in 1986; four sisters, Myrtle and Maude Carden, Nora Ford and Katie Sampson; and a brother Jack Carden.
Survivors include a sister, Virginia Carden of Peterstown WV; three brothers, Ashby Carden of Talcott and Jennings M. and John Carden of Peterstown; and a close friend Beatrice Adkins of Bluewell.

Services were hell 11 a.m. Friday September 11 at the Broyles Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. John Sauvage officiating. Burial followed in the Rosewood Cemetery in Lewisburg.
