Mildred Louise McQueen died Saturday in a Belton Living Center. She was born in Stringtown August 11, 1920 to O.C. Connell and Abbie Green Connell. She lived in the Temple area all of her life. She graduated from Rogers High School. She married J.C. McQueen February 15, 1936. He preceded her in death Feb. 5, 1991.
She was a Licensed Vocational Nurse having worked in several Nursing Homes in the area. She was a member of Heights Baptist Church, was active in the beginning of C.A.C. in Temple and was an award winning artist.
Survivors include two sons Bob McQueen of Temple and James McQueen of Humble; one daughter Marilyn McQueen of Belton; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Greathouse Cemetery.
