Emory Alvin Bolton, 86, of Heritage Haven died Aug. 3,1990, at Camelot Hall Nursing Home. He had been ill for a number of years.
He was born in Franklin, W.Va., Sept. 25,1903, and was the son of the late John W. and Ada Simmons Bolton.
He had lived in Harrisonburg since 1946 and had been employed by the Wilson Trucking Co. for a number of years.
He was a member of the Muhlenberg Lutheran Church.
On May 11, 1929, he married the former Laurene Waggy, who survives.
Surviving in addition to wife are three children, Norma Jean Blair of Richmond, Phyllis Pickett of Harrisonburg and Ellis E. Bolton of San Antonio, Texas; a sister, Judith Rexrode of Harrisonburg; two brothers, Willie Bolton of Harrisonburg and Herbert Bolton of Baltimore; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The Revs. John Derrick and Dennis Roberts will conduct the funeral at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Muhlenberg Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the East Lawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends 7:30-8:30 p.m. today at the Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home and any time at home of his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James F. Pickett.
