Mrs. Helen M. Carpenter, 72, resident of Swainsboro, died Tuesday morning at Emanuel Medical Center. Mrs. Carpenter was born in Bartow, Ga., daughter of the late Dan and Grace Wells Martin. She had lived in Swainsboro for the past five years. Mrs. Carpenter was district manager of FHA for many years.
The funeral service for Mrs. Helen M. Carpenter will be held Friday evening at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home with the Reverend Franklin Sasser officiating. Interment will be in Lake Cemetery in Metter. The family will receive friends at Tomlinson Funeral Home Friday evening one hour prior to the service.
Survivors include a son, Marty Harris (Darla); grandchild, Amanda Harris; brother, Murphy Martin (Daphne); two nieces, Linda Loveless (Gary) and Carol Southwell (William); nephew, Danny Woodard (Allie).
Arrangements are by Tomlinson Funeral Home of Swainsboro.
